Esta iniciativa de voluntariado medioambiental, dentro del programa ‘Voluntarios Grupo OHL’ de Fundación Adecco, une a varias empresas del Grupo OHL, como Metro Ligero Oeste, IRENA (Ingeniería de los Recursos Naturales, S.A.) y la propia OHL, en un esfuerzo compartido de apoyo a las personas con discapacidad y compromiso con la acción social, fomentando el voluntariado y la participación de empleados.

Los jóvenes, de entre 18 y 30 años, son miembros de la Fundación Aprocor y están coordinados por profesionales de la Fundación y trabajadores voluntarios de Metro Ligero Oeste, que apoyarán la actividad y colaborarán formando equipo con estos jóvenes.

El grupo plantará en el huerto verduras de temporada, con un instrumental donado por IRENA, también comprometida con la acción social del Grupo. P osteriormente, los voluntarios de MLO se encargarán de que la plantación se asiente bien en el terreno y se mantenga en las mejores condiciones.

La actividad empezó este martes 10 de junio y tendrá lugar todos los días, hasta el viernes 13 de junio, de 10:30 a 14 h, excepto el miércoles. Antes de cada sesión se dará una breve charla entre los profesionales de la Fundación Aprocor y los voluntarios de MLO.

This environmental volunteer initiative is part of the Adecco Foundation's ‘OHL Volunteers Group’. It has brought together several companies in the OHL Group including Metro Ligero Oeste, IRENA (Ingeniería de los Recursos Naturales, S.A.) and OHL itself, in a joint effort aimed at providing support for handicapped people, fostering commitment to social action, encouragement of volunteer work and participation by staff members.

The young people, all between the ages of 18 and 30, are members of the Aprocor   Foundation under the co-ordination of the Foundation's professional staff and volunteers   from Metro Ligero Oeste, who will provide active support for the activity and form teams with these young people.

The group will plant different vegetables for each season using tools supplied by IRENA, which is also committed to the Group's social initiative. The MLO volunteers will then take charge of the process and make sure that the plants take root in the soil and can grow under optimum conditions.

The initiative began on Tuesday 10 June and will continue every day except   Wednesday until the following Friday from 10:30 am to 2 pm. Prior to the start of each session, there will be a brief discussion between staff from the Aprocor Foundation   and the MLO volunteers.
